NEWCASTLE United utility man Geremi is understood to be desperate to bring his Toon nightmare to an end after a switch to Turkish side Ankaragucu collapsed in farcical manner.
The Chronicle understands the £58,000-per-week former Real Madrid man hopes to try to resurrect the move which would end his three-year stint on Tyneside.
Geremi is keen on the deal to join up with the Turks, but the Ankara side jumped the gun when unveiling the ex-Toon captain to fans – the news on Sunday night coming as a major surprise to United.
It is thought United and the Turkcell Superliga Club had not agreed a suitable financial package for Ankaragucu to buy out the remainder of the 31-year-old’s contract – which meant the deal collapsed.
