Chris has kept us on track, says Simpson

LOAN star Danny Simpson has hailed Newcastle caretaker manager Chris Hughton for the “perfect” job he is performing amid the club’s off-field crisis.
Amid a tortuous takeover saga and the embarrassment caused by Kevin Keegan’s compensation case, Hughton has kept things on track on the pitch.
And although Simpson has worked under the very best in the business in Sir Alex Ferguson, he has lavished the highest praise on his temporary new boss.
“It’s obvious that Chris has done a perfect job,” said Manchester United defender Simpson, who is on loan at St James’s Park until January.
