Simon bags post with Canada team

Newcastle United's former goalkeeping coach Simon Smith has been appointed to the same position with the Canadian national side. He is to fly out to Vancouver in September to begin his duties. Smith resigned in the wake of Sir Bobby Robson's departure from St James' Park. *Hebburn Town play host to a Newcastle United XI tomorrow (2pm).
