The Toon Army are the most intelligent fans in the Premiership. And that's official.
Newcastle United supporters, of course, are already renowned throughout the world.
For their passion for their beloved black and whites, for their knowledge of the game and their wit and humour.
But when you have a look around at the other clubs, would you say that United fans are the most intellectual?
I'm not so sure. But I should be.

For guess which team has more university-educated fans than any other in the Premiership?
Yes, it's Newcastle United.
And this comes from the FA's Premier League National Fan survey for 2001.
United fans sit proudly at the top of the table, followed by Chelsea, Aston Villa and Leeds United.
And at the other end of the table are none other than the Tractor Boys themselves, Ipswich Town.
