IN my continuing bid to find a product to combat the signs of sleep deprivation — those giveaway dark circles under my eyes — I tested SkinVitals Eye Brighten Cloth Eye Treatment Mask, £2.99. It certainly made my skin feel soft and moisturised, and contains rejuvenating ginger and lemon and a touch of toning and firming collagen. But I have to say, it didn’t rid me of my dark circles, not even when combined with the eye-lift eye treatment mask, also £2.99. But as a relaxing, moisture-boosting mask for a home spa session, they’re a nice treat. Available from Boots stores on a buy-one-get-one-free offer until the end of April. — CAROLINE SMITH SKINCARE specialist Estee Lauder have unveiled Revelation Age Resisting Brightening Cream — £28 for 30ml — a new moisturiser formulated with vitamin C. Their Revelation range was developed to help skin support its natural collagen stores. It’s aimed at women who are beginning to detect a change in their skin — dullness, freckling, or the onset of fine lines — and the blurb says it’s for those looking for “a bit more muscle” from their daily moisturiser. Yet, having tried this cream for around three weeks, I have to say I’ve had better results from lower-priced moisturisers. It is advertised as a lightweight cream but feels a little too light for me. If you’re looking for your jar to last a couple of months, this wouldn’t be your first choice. — PAULINE HOLT ORGANICS Nourishing Face Lotion — £31 for 30ml — is a lightweight moisturiser and is 95 per cent organic, so it’s packed with the feel-good factor before it goes near your face. It smells herby and natural, immediately smoothing the skin with lashings of those organic ingredients.
