Charity’sLeap forchildren

A CHILDREN’S charity is urging us all to leap into action this month for the good of our youngsters. The Children’s Foundation is asking people across the region to make the most of February’s extra day by raising cash for their Tenner Campaign. Fundraising ideas include tiddlywinks contests, fancy dress days and skydiving Libby Nolan, fundraising manager for The Children’s Foundation said: “We thought seeing as we’ve got an extra day this year, we really should make it count. “So we are asking local people to organise their own Leap Day fundraiser, either at work or at home with friends and family.” Story continues ADVERTISEMENT The Tenner Campaign is devised to raise £1m per year to improve the health of North East children by supporting medical research and NHS services for children and by creating partnership programmes that will address key health and lifestyle issues affecting young people.
