The 39-year-old Sydney, Australian-born supermodel-cum-businesswoman-cum actress is a proud mum who looks as good now as she did before having her two children, Flynn, 5, and Aurelius, 9 months.
She the world's wealthiest model, according to one leading finance magazine that puts her worth at £22m, thanks to a thriving lingerie business and other profitable sidelines. After a couple of year's break from acting, she returned as Matt LeBlanc's sexy new room-mate in six episodes of 'Friends'.
Framework
Little wonder the world knows her as 'The Body" - and what a body it is: a slender, perfectly-shaped 130 pounds on a 6ft frame, with 36-24-36 vital statistics.
She has legs that seem to go on for ever and her belly is so taut and flat you would never believe that she has had a baby.
"I'll admit that I was worried I was going to get stretch marks and wouldn't get back to my best weight, " she says, adding that she made sure she did everything she was supposed to during pregnancy, and it paid dividends.
"Even a couple of pounds show on me, and when it does, I just drink a lot of mineral water. I normally drink three litres a day to exercise my body from the inside and lubricate my muscles and blood. "
She's blonde right now, but she's been brown and red in recent years.
Exercise
She has marketed her own exercise video, but admits: "I'm not excessive about exercise, but I like to keep as fit and as healthy as I can - the natural way. I swim a lot - it's one of the best exercises there is. So is horse-riding, which I love. "
During pregnancy, she did yoga for an hour a day and, in the last few weeks before the birth, went for hour-long walks in the local park every morning. Before she gave birth to Flynn, she ran a lot, including three New York marathons.
Diet
"I eat very well and regularly. I would never go without food, " says Elle, who enjoys cooking when she has the time. She can rustle up a mean warm honey and mustard chicken salad.
"I eat twice a day and have a rule never to eat between meals. I stay away from dairy products except for mozzarella," she says. "I do have a weakness for chocolate and beer so I need to be careful where they are concerned. "
She used to smoke three packets of cigarettes a day, but got sick of smelling like an ashtray. She takes a number of vitamin supplements every day.
Lovelife
When she was 24, she married French photographer Gilles Bensimon, who was 20 years her senior. It lasted six years.
She then had a spell with Tim Jeffries, ex-husband of Koo Stark, who inherited a fortune from Green Shield Stamps.
She began dating Arpad 'Arki" Busson, a French financier in 1996 and, two years later, had their son, Flynn. Then in February this year, Aurelius was born.
They share a lavish four-storey Georgian house in a leafy London suburb, and often spend weekends in the South of France with Busson's mother.
