HAIR is set to be big news in more ways than one this autumn, predicts celebrity snipper Andrew Barton.
Volume and dressier styles combined with autumn hues is what those who like to stay ahead in the hair stakes will be sporting.
“If you’re a follower of fashion and love the volume on parade at this season’s catwalks, from Versace to Prada, Burberry to Armani, it’s all about volume,” Andrew explains. “Whether your hair is fine or thick, smooth or glossy, volume is made easy with heated rollers. Pinch my backstage trick and wrap the ends of your hair in tissue paper before putting the rollers in. Brush through with a paddle brush when the hair is cool.”
Smooth hair will still have a hold “but using your irons to create kicks and flicks, waves and even curls, can create a fresh look as you layer up in autumn,” adds Andrew.
“As fashion moves into a more grown-up chic with a return to classic tailoring, fitted shapes and girly details, so too does hair fashion. The big fashion story is about hair that is less casual, opting for something bouncier and more dressed. Autumn will also see a riot of new tones from burnished browns to golden ambers. It’s the perfect time to get playful with your colour and add a new intensity. The great thing is that whether you’re a blonde or brunette there’s an autumn shade for all.”
