A TRIPLE EVENT is being held today at a new development of innovative properties.
Cussins Ltd is holding an open day at its Amytis Gardens development in South Shields to launch a new showhome and introduce a rent-to-buy mortgage deposit scheme. Plus people coming to view the unusual properties will be taking part in an event to raise funds for Maggie’s North East, a cancer caring centre.
Cussins will donate £5 for every adult who visits Amytis Gardens between 10am and 4pm today.
Maggie’s has helped 250,000 people with cancer across the UK, and now fundraisers want to raise £3m for Maggie’s North East, to be built at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital. This will become a place for people across the region affected by cancer to access information, advice and psychological support.
Amytis Gardens offers relaxed seaside living. The homes have garages and raised back gardens. The new showhome will highlight the versatility and space within the smaller homes on the scheme, for sale at £184,950.
Cussins are also introducing a scheme to assist people who want to live at Amytis Gardens. Potential purchasers can rent at the development for six months, giving them time to save for the deposit, and if after six months they are in a position to purchase, Cussins will put the rent paid over the six months towards the mortgage deposit.
Chairman Peter Cussins said: “The open day will give people the chance to experience the lifestyle Amytis Gardens could offer them, by enabling them to see the new showhome and find out more about the mortgage deposit scheme.
“They will also be helping to raise money for a worthwhile cause.”
