Celebrating the best in the industry

May 8 2008

by Karen Overbury, The Journal

THE Journal/Evening Gazette 21st Century Living Awards celebrate the best in new build, helping to raise the profile of architects, builders and developers across the North and to celebrate their hard work, dedication and achievements.

The awards, now in their eighth year, have become an established part of the construction calendar and this year’s event, a black tie awards dinner held at the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel, brought together almost 400 representatives of the construction industry.

This year’s awards were sponsored by double glazing and replacement window specialists Warmseal.

The managing director, Kevin Taylor, and the editor of The Journal, Brian Aitken, presented the overall winners, DARE (Northern) with their trophy and certificate.

Mr Taylor said after the awards: “Warmseal is delighted to be associated with the 21st Century Living Awards. This is a prestigious event that celebrates the impressive achievements of the developers, architects and house builders throughout the area and the event is a key part of the construction calendar. We are also all aware of the difficulties facing the property market at the moment, and awards like these are a great way of celebrating and recognising the fantastic things that are happening in the industry.”

Plans have already started for the 2009 21st Century Living Awards. For further information or to receive details of the awards nearer the time, contact the event organiser, Claire Evans, tel: (0191) 201-6089 or email claire.evans@ncjmedia.co.uk
