THE Best Townhouse category was won by DARE (Northern) for the townhouses at their Axwell Gardens development, at Axwell Park, Blaydon, Gateshead.
The scheme went on to win the overall award, as detailed above. The judges said the development was "very different and brave", with the homes built to a particularly high standard, with great attention to detail and achieving a good feeling of luxury.
Axwell director Tony Stubbs said: "I wish to thank all the team who have helped in getting the look of the townhouses at the Gardens just right. This is only the first stage of what we are doing at Axwell and we hope to go on to develop the Mansion House and continue with the wow factor, with the craftsmanship and with the overall quality and value for money, creating yet more properties for 21st Century Living."
Charles Church: The Windsor, Windsor Park, Park View, Alnwick.
THE judges said the Charles Church development was in an impressive setting. Good use has been made of the site and the townhouses were well designed, with good internal orientation and attention to detail.
McCarrick Homes: Park Road South, Chester-le-Street.
THE McCarrick development was praised for its high level of detail and quality extras, representing very good value. The developer had clearly shown very good concern for potential users and their lifestyle.
