Chief Executive of TUI Travel, Peter Long is to receive an honour from the Spanish government.
Long will receive the Cross of the order of Isabella the Catholic, the equivalent of our O.B.E. from Joan Mesquida, Spanish Secretary of State for Tourism at the Spanish Embassy in London on 28 May.
He will receive the honour in recognition of his 'extraordinary work' in promoting Spain as a tourist destination.
The Chief Executive of the UK’s leading tour operator stressed that Spain is an extremely important destination to him both as a travel professional and also on a personal level as the site of his family holidays home.
He was pleased to announce "I will be honoured to receive this prestigious award from the Spanish government."
