WALK up Coniston Old Man, one of the Lakes’ most famous mountains. CONISTON Water is the third largest of the Lakes. Take a trip aboard the Victorian steam yacht, a Coniston Launch, or hire your own boat. THE Ruskin Museum is the former home of Victorian artist and philosopher John Ruskin. The tailfin of Donald Campbell’s Bluebird K7 is also on display. PRETTY Hawkshead has the Beatrix Potter Gallery and her former home Hill Top is nearby. THE Aquarium of the Lakes is at the southern end of Lake Windermere.
