While this may be music to the ears of youngsters, it can be a nightmare for parents who are struggling to think of how to entertain them for six weeks.
Help is at hand, however, in the form of SummerTyne, a 10-day summer festival of diverse events based around Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside.
The programme includes activities for the whole family, as well as concerts, film screenings, photography exhibitions and much more.
The range of events for all ages features Playing the Building musical tours of The Sage Gateshead from Monday, July 23, to Sunday, July 29. These are workshops for children under five and their parents/carers and include songs, music-making, games and dances from around the world.
