DE VERE Slaley Hall Hotel in Northumberland has appointed experienced chef IAIN JÜRGENSEN as its food and beverage director. Iain will help build on the hall’s reputation for food and wine and will oversee the hotel’s portfolio of restaurants and bars. Chartered accountant TIM ROBINSON has joined Crutes Law Firm as commercial director. He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience of growing businesses in the UK and further afield. Crutes is one of the top five law firms in the North-East, with offices in Newcastle, Teesside and Carlisle. Two experienced architects have been promoted to become associates in the Newcastle office of architects Ryder. RONNIE GRAHAM joined Ryder in 2000 and is an expert in the education sector. He has been involved in projects that include the £60m Redcar and Cleveland PFI and the £160m South Tyneside and Gateshead Schools BSF project. Meanwhile, STEWART McKENNA has been a project leader. He has worked with several clients in the commercial sector taking projects from inception through to completion. He is currently heading up the Office Villages portfolio. PR agency Golley Slater has appointed KATIE DALE to head its financial PR division. Katie who will develop the specialist service across each of Golley Slater’s regional offices including Newcastle, has considerable experience in financial PR and investor relations having worked for Citigate Dewe Rogerson. Growing North-East architecture practice Xsite has announced the creation of two new positions at its Newcastle office. JANE MILNER has joined as an architect with responsibility for resource management, while KIRSTY PATTERSON takes up the role of office PA. Jane said she was attracted to Xsite by its specialism in building related to culture, as well as its strong reputation in the industry. Meanwhile, Kirsty will be taking responsibility for clerical tasks and administration for Xsite. PR and marketing agency Forum Marketing has boosted its workforce with the addition of new account manager GEORGINA WILCZEK. Georgina comes to the post from a career in London, where she worked for five years as a BBC radio and television producer on a wide variety of prominent arts and culture programmes, including Front Row, Night Waves and The Proms. ALEX DONALDSON is the latest member to join marketing agency Adessi in its new Teesside offices. The new recruit has a degree in public relations from the University of Sunderland. Alkaline Creative Communications in Jesmond has appointed a former PR student and industry award-winner to join its team.
