Exciting times ahead for busy all-rounders

Sep 26 2003

After another year of exciting activity and growth, Sintons has seen its broad- based approach reflected in even more entries in this year's Legal 500.

As one of the truly all-rounder firms in the region, many of the partners and solicitors are now listed as leaders in their field.

This reflects the quality approach to the law enshrined in the firm's thinking.

The Jesmond, Newcastle, practice has also announced this week the acquisition of new offices at The Cube, St James's, signifying a real step up in pace.

This brand new building, providing 24,000 sq ft of prime office space, will undoubtedly help continue the growth.

This is a major step in the development of the practice, and provides modern, accessible facilities for clients and staff.

David Raw, chairman of partners, said: "Our growth in the past three years has necessitated a longer-term view of our facilities.

"This is a superb new office giving us two-and-a-half times our current floor space in a modern, useable environment.

The whole surrounding area will also be substantially redeveloped in the next few years, and we feel we are at the forefront of an exciting and visionary sector."

On a practical level, if everything goes to plan, the relocation should take place in the first quarter of 2004, following a fit-out programme.

Sintons has long held traditional pedigrees in defendant litigation and private client work.

Now, the spread of expertise sees listings in Legal 500 for its work in corporate, commercial property, claimant litigation, charities, trusts, commercial litigation and employment law.

Practice director Murray Magowan said: "We've built a quality team over the past few years, and it's good to see this recognised by our peers and outside publications.

Our growth led us into a formal premises search two years ago, and this has now come to fruition with the acquisition of The Cube.

"This will give us a real base for the future, we are very excited about the whole project, which is a very strong statement about our commercial ambition and hopes for the future.

Throughout this phase, we still have a very keen eye on our traditions and reputation, and will not lose sight of what we stand for."
