Leading UK finance directors have named KPMG the country's top `Big Four' auditor for the third year in a row.
KPMG LLP (UK) was named Auditor of the Year in the Big Four category at the Real FD/CBI Finance Directors' Excellence Awards in London last night. The Awards are particularly valued as they represent the views of more than 850 finance directors around the country.
At the Awards ceremony, KPMG was commended for its high level of engagement with clients. One finance director taking part in the survey said: "Pragmatic and mature, KPMG adopts a `team' approach. They are rigorous in the audit and constructive with their comments. First class."
The award follows on the news that KPMG recently became the UK's number one auditor in terms of number of listed audit clients, as revealed in Hemscott's quarterly auditor rankings.
Mick Thompson, audit partner at KPMG in Newcastle said: "We are delighted to have won this award for the third year in a row, especially as it represents the views of UK finance directors.
