New courses prove fitting

Aug 3 2007

by Rebekah Ashby, The Journal

CONSTRUCTIONSKILLS is encouraging employers in the North-East to utilise two new training programmes for their employees.

Kitchen fitting courses will be offered in partnership with North Tyneside Training Services, while ConstructionSkills has teamed up with Middlesbrough College to deliver dry lining training. Both two-year courses are due to start in September. This is the first time a kitchen fitting training programme has been available in the North-East, while dry lining was previously only offered in Ashington, Northumberland.

The kitchen fitting course will aim to attract up to 24 apprentices, while there are up to 15 places available on the dry lining course. There is suitable accommodation available beside both colleges for those who are unable to commute.

Potential apprentices can apply online at www.bconstructive.co.uk
