NEARLY £2m of investment has gone into revamping the public areas in two of the three blocks in the All Saints Office Centre in Newcastle as agents seek to let the remaining space. Cuthbert House and Bede House now have new entrances, foyers and reception areas after a £1.75m refurbishment by landlord Commercial Estates Group from London. The company has also replaced all 428 windows in Cuthbert House and re-clad and rendered the exteriors to give the blocks a new look. Cuthbert House is a five-storey block occupied by the Prescriptions Pricing Authority and City Executive Centres serviced offices, which together work across four floors of the building. The fifth floor is being fully refurbished to allow future occupiers to choose open plan or modular space. Cuthbert House has 7,569sqft in the East Wing and 3,872sqft in the South Wing to let at £16 per sq ft. The All Saints complex is marketed jointly by Atisreal and GVA Lamb and Edge. Tony Wordsworth of GVA Lamb and Edge said: “This investment by the landlord is the latest stage of an ongoing refurbishment programme at Cuthbert House.” Bede House has three storeys of office space with the public areas finished in the same way as Cuthbert House. The building is occupied by a number of tenants including Sunderland Teaching Primary Care Trust and Turner and Townsend. There is ground floor space of 6,185sqft that has recently been refurbished with raised floors, new windows and movement sensitive lighting. Paul Richardson, newly appointed asset manager at Commercial Estates Group, said: “All Saints provides contemporary, cost effective, city centre offices. “It is next to 55 Degrees North, close to Trinity Gardens, and with easy access for cars and pedestrians.” Steve Throp of Commercial Estates Group officiated at the opening of the refurbished offices. He said: “The offices look absolutely first class. I’m delighted to officially open the new entrance areas.” |
