NORTH EAST BUSINESS EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR 2007

Newcastle's Journal and Teesside's Evening Gazette newspaper are both part of the Trinity Mirror group and are renowned within the North East Community for organising and holding prestigious and extremely successful business events, perhaps the most well-known are the North East Business Awards.

Now in its 24th year, the North East Business Executive event is one of the longest running business awards events in the region.

It will be as prestigious and as coveted an event as ever with a diversity of award categories once again as follows:

1: Durham & Wearside Business Executive of the Year (Sponsored by Knight Frank)

2: Tees Valley Business Executive of the Year (Sponsored by University of Teesside Business School)

3: Tyneside & Northumberland Business Executive of the Year (Sponsored by Royal Bank of Scotland)

4: North East Business Executive of the Year (Sponsored by Dickinson Dees)

5: Lifetime Achievement Award (Sponsored by Pricewaterhouse Coopers)

6: Young Business Person of the Year (Newcastle University Business School)

As the titles of the award categories suggest the first 3 awards will be given to a worthy contender in that region.

The overall North East Business Executive of the Year honour will be bestowed onto one of the winners from the 3 regions.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to an individual who has contributed significantly to the business community in their working lifetime and Young Business Person of the Year will be awarded to an up-and-coming dynamic executive aged 30 and under on September 1st 2007.

The Business Editors of The Journal and the Evening Gazette will use their vast business knowledge to put forward their nominations and readers will also be invited to send in their nominations through a form available in The Journal and Evening Gazette.

A judging panel of approximately 8 key people in the North East with input from the sponsors will pull together a shortlist and decide the winners for each category.

The winners will be announced at a gala presentation evening on November 1st at the Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel.

Tables of 10 for the presentation are priced at £890 +Vat.Individual tickets are priced at £95 +Vat.
