A NEW line-up brings a fresh feel to BBC Radio Newcastle’s Sunday schedule from today.
Highlights include a double helping of club comedian Sue Sweeney . . . making her one of the busiest presenters at the station.
And she also does a double stint on Saturdays too.
Sue said: “I’m thrilled to bits to be chatting to my listeners, not once a day, but twice.
“The best thing about radio is the stories I get from my listeners and the laughs we have at the weekend. I’m really looking forward to my new routine.”
Radio Newcastle editor Andrew Robson says: “Sue is a great North East personality and a first-class entertainer. She makes every show a ‘must-listen’. There is no doubt that Sue creates radio with character.”
The full schedule also includes new times for old favourites . . . Ian Robinson 1-6am, Frank Wappat 6-7.30am, Jon Harle 7.30-9am, Sue Sweeney 9am-1pm, Garden Mania 1-2pm, Kathy Secker 2-5pm, Solid Gold Sunday 5-7pm, Frank Wappat 7-10pm, Sue Sweeney 10pm-1am.
