ALAN SHEARER and Match of the Day2 presenter Adrian Chiles are getting ready for a marathon bike ride.
They will leave St James’s Park, Newcastle, on Thursday to cycle 335 miles to the BBC’s Television Centre in London for Sport Relief, arriving the following day.
Will they do it? Viewers can find out on Friday’s live coverage of the event on BBC1.
Shearer said: “The professional cyclists think Adrian and I are mad.
“They don’t understand why we are even contemplating our challenge because, in cycling terms, it’s the equivalent of running three marathons in two days. But we’ve both visited projects that Sport Relief money supports and seen what a difference it makes.
