Now in its tenth year, the annual Midsummer Music & Fireworks open-air concert is coming to the National Trust's beautiful 18th Century landscaped garden, Gibside.
Join 4,000 other celebrants on Saturday 17 July at the chapel's gardens, near Rowlands Gill in Gateshead, to relax and listen to music from the Northern Sinfonia and vocalists Graeme Danby, Valerie Reid and Bibi Heal.
Highlights include a selection of popular classics including pieces from Mozart's The Magic Flute and Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture. The celebration will culminate in a magnificent firework display timed to perfection alongside Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No1, an irresistible and arresting sight surely not to be missed.
With many returning concert-goers bringing their own tables, chairs and banquets in hampers, this is a very special night, the highlight of the annual social calendar for many families and friends.
The concert is held from 8pm until 10.30pm, with entry to the arena at 6pm.
Tickets cost £23 in advance for adults and £12 in advance for children. On the day, though available tickets cannot be guaranteed, tickets cost £28 for adults and £14 for children. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office on (01670) 773939 or on the National Trust website www.nationaltrust.org.uk
