Since its opening in 2001, The Alnwick Garden has bloomed, and this year will see the launch of four exciting new phases - The Poison Garden, The Serpent Garden, The Labyrinth and The Tree House.
Come face to face with some of the most deadly plants in the world in The Poison Garden. From belladonna (deadly nightshade) to tobacco plants, this garden is not for the faint hearted.
Entering through the intimate ivy covered tunnels, you see plants displayed in flame-shaped beds and some that need to be kept behind metal bars for safety reasons.
Both adults and children will enjoy learning about the dangers and benefits of these lethal plants.
The Serpent Garden will be home to water sculptures designed by one of the world's leading water sculptors.
Each will show you a different aspect of water, and will be created using gravity and the natural topography of the land. The sculptures will be placed around a `serpent' formed from holly.
The Labyrinth is a maze created from bamboo by the world's leading maze designer Adrian Fisher. As you wind your way through, accompanied by the rustling noise of the bamboo, you have to use logic to find your way.
The most magical of all will be the Tree House - a complex of wooden buildings covering an area of around the size of two Olympic swimming pools linked by a series of walkways "floating" in the trees.
The tree house will be accessible to everyone including wheelchair users. With its restaurant and timber-decked veranda, it will also be a great place to relax.
