WALKER Turbinia still lead the pack after hitting North Shields Oddfellows for six.

Jason Walsh started and ended the home side’s scoring followed by Neil Graham, Philip Davidson and Michael Hellens’ brace.

Turbinia looked comfortable throughout only for a mistake by home goalkeeper Mark Hamilton in the dying moments to allow Simon Partridge to deny them a clean sheet.

Wincomblee extended their undefeated streak to 10 games as they defeated Bar Berlise 5-2 – despite the away side going two goals up from Peter Brown and Dean Laycock.

But the visitors failed to capitalise further, missing strings of chances which proved to be costly as Wincomblee fired five in the second half to run out victors.

Lee Garwood, Liam Johnson, Andy Shaw, and Darren Turnbull (2) netted for the Wincomblee.

Byker Key Club were at the double winning 2-0 at Whitley Bay Townhouse, Christian Bankelos-Charles and Graham Nelson hitting the mark.

Spartan Rangers won 3-1 at FC Fenham taking them up to fifth, four points adrift but with four games in hand on their hosts.

Parcelforce climbed one place to seventh thanks to the 4-0 home win against Chopwell Phoenix.

Rhys Warburton, Colin Young and Ryan Hawyes (2) found the net for Parcelforce.

IN THE British Deaf Cup, Rutherford Deaf went down 3-2 at home to Everton DFC, the reigning national champions and treble winners.

Everton had beaten the Gateshead side last term in the dying moments of extra time in the quarter-finals and went on to win the tournament in Belfast.

Rutherford’s revenge mission looked in good shape early on as the home side took the lead thanks to an Alex Brown toe-poke.

However, bouyed by the wind, Everton pulled it back and got their noses in front at 2-1 and led until Andy Reay slammed home to gain a deserved equaliser just before half-time.

Both teams had goals disallowed in a goalless second half, and Everton eventually broke Rutherford hearts with the winner five minutes from the end of extra time.

Rutherford now drop into the British Deaf Plate and will host Leeds or Lanarkshire, to continue their dream of reaching the showpiece final at Everton’s Goodison Park on May 15.
