Onions and Davies impress for England

England picked up two wickets before tea as the South African Invitational XI responded to 329 for eight declared.
Graham Onions and his county colleague Mark Davies - in his first spell for England - both impressed, whereas Stuart Broad looked in need of a little more bowling on this second and final day at Buffalo Park.
Home opener Andrea Agathagelou was dismissed lbw by Onions in the seamer's third over. Divan van Wyk appeared increasingly comfortable, in company with number three Sammy-Joe Aventuur, until he too fell lbw - playing across off-spinner Graeme Swann's second delivery of a solitary over before tea in the hosts' 60 for two.
Ian Bell and Matt Prior had earlier shared an unbroken stand of 83 up to lunch, after two England wickets fell in the first hour of a squelchy morning.
Bell and Prior's sixth-wicket stand ended only when both retired, Swann plundering some more runs before the declaration - with Broad unable to join in, dragging a ball from David Wiese on to his stumps.
