Bradford fightback to secure win
22:45, Mar 5 2010
Australian forward Glenn Hall scored his first try in Super League as Bradford came from 20-0 down to snatch a dramatic 22-20 victory which ended Wigan's 100% record.
Hall, one of three close-season recruits from Manly Sea Eagles, crashed over with just a minute left to cap a remarkable fightback and secure a third successive victory for the Bulls.
Steve McNamara's men looked down and out at half-time when they trailed by 20 points after being completely outplayed by their in-form visitors, but scrum half Matt Orford masterminded a famous comeback highlighted by a brace of tries.
Four tries in the space of 11 second-half minutes paved the way for Hull to secure a fourth win from five attempts this season as they overpowered Castleford 42-22 at the KC Stadium.
Richard Agar's men had been locked at 12-12 at the interval against their West Yorkshire rivals but blew the Tigers out of the water after the break as Richard Horne (two), Peter Cusack and Craig Hall all went over the whitewash in a devastating spell.
The result means Castleford have now lost all four of their games since their opening-night win at Leeds, although there was another score for winger Shaun Ainscough, his fourth in two games since signing on loan from Wigan.
Reigning Engage Super League champions Leeds bounced back from their bruising World Club Challenge defeat with a thumping 62-4 victory over struggling Harlequins.
Leeds led at the interval through tries from Brent Webb (two) and Ryan Hall and ran in nine more in a rampant second-half display to signal their return to form at Headingley.
Catalans Dragons are off the mark in the Engage Super League after mounting a stirring fightback to run in five tries and claim a 24-12 win over Salford.
The Dragons bounced back from a humiliating 58-0 hammering at Wigan last week with a vastly improved show thanks to tries from Chris Walker (two), Clint Greenshields, Setaimata Sa and Sebastien Raguin.
