Newcastle-based Sendai Karate Club hopes to celebrate its 25th anniversary in style this year - by attracting more members.
The club, based at the city's Eldon Square Recreation Centre, currently has 60 members aged from five upwards, who as well as training compete in tournaments organised by the Karate Union of Great Britain.
Training sessions are held on Tuesdays (6.30-8.00) and Thursdays (6.15-7.45) and beginners sessions are also being staged at Eldon Square.
