(Redcar win the aggregate point 108-78) JOSH Auty had an interesting meeting last night and helped his team to a win at the South Tees Motor Sport Park. Auty won four our of his six races and was excluded in his third ride when he had engine trouble at the tapes for the start of heat six. Newcastle were hampered as early as heat five when they lost captain Christian Henry, who was forced wide going into the first turn by the Bear’s Chris Kerr. Henry was forced to pull out of the remainder of the meeting with ligament damage to his knee. Kerr went on to finish behind team-mate James Grieves in the re-run, to put Redcar six points ahead at 18-12. By heat 13 the lad had increased to 44-28 which allowed Newcastle to bring Carl Wilkinson out for double points and he didn’t let them down as he won ahead of team-mate Sean Stoddart for an 8-1. Stoddart had a great night as he also headed the previously unbeaten Grieves in heat 11 and went on to top score for the visitors with 12 (paid 14) points. Redcar team manager Brian Havelock said: “It was a good entertaining meeting. I am pleased we got the three points, especially when we have thrown away meetings this season.” His counterpart George English commented: “It was obviously a massive blow to lose Christian, but I am pleased my team battled on to produce a good meeting.
