High Fell's Ryan French will lead the North East charge in the semi-finals of the Golden Belt national competition at Stoke Mandeville on Saturday.
French stormed through in Class Five at 63kg by beating Hylton Castle's Lee Mould on the Northumbria ABC-promoted bill at Gateshead Leisure Centre.
"It is a great achievement by Ryan who has had only four bouts," said Gateshead club official Gordon Farrell.
Zubair Khan of North Benwell will travel south on Friday along with French, Lambton Street pair Daniel Woods and Neil Kane, South Durham's Anthony Kenny and Daniel Woods of Plains Farm.
Carley Wealands from Newbiggin is through to the finals of the Junior ABA Female Championships - but only after intervention by area secretary Ron Harvey.
