Ormesby's Paul Drinkhall confirmed his superiority as England's top junior table tennis player when he collected his second major title of the season at the English Masters in Slough.
Paul's success comes hot on the heels of his retention of the National Junior title in Doncaster, last month. This latest victory means he will be the undisputed leading member of the England junior team, which competes in the European Youth Championships, in the Czech Republic, in July.
Paul won all 13 of his matches in Slough, including a 3-1 victory over his main rival, Surrey's Darius Knight. Paul also won 3-1 against second-placed Adam Bleakley of Lancashire, Ormesby team-mate Danny Reed, Tim Yarnall of Northamptonshire and Tom Page of Cheshire.
Paul beat the rest of the field by 3-0.
Danny Reed also did well from the seventh seeded position to finish in fourth place.
Danny only lost two of his matches to Drinkhall and Knight and scored outstanding victories against Bleakley, Yarnall, Bradley Evans and David Meads, who were all seeded above him. Danny won 11 of his 13 sets in clinching fourth place and has virtually assured himself a place in the England team for the Youth Championships.
