A talented Teesside ice hockey trio are proving a big hit on the international stage.
Billingham Bombers Robert Dowd, Michael Farn and Andrew Finn have all made the young England grade.
Centre Robert and defenceman Michael starred for the England under-16 team which won a recent tournament in New York. Andrew, 12, will go to the International Pee-wee tournament in Quebec, Canada next month.
The promising defenceman will be trying to shine at a competition which has featured the likes of legend Wayne Gretzky in previous years.
Bombers coach Terry Ward said the youngsters' emergence is rich reward for the club's youth policy.
"We made a conscious decision at the club to put a lot of time and effort into the juniors because it pays off for the future," he said.
"The three of them have a tremendous work ethic. Their motivation and dedication to the sport is outstanding and they are always willing to attend extra training.
"Robert was one of the top scorers in New York and Michael top defenceman.
"They've played at under-16 and under-19 level for the club and both are playing at first team level, which is fairly unusual for their age.
"Andrew always gives everything he's got and should do well in Canada."
