Toon supremo Douglas Hall pocketed more than £500,000 today as the club posted record results.
Newcastle United increased turnover for the six months to January 31 by 11 per cent to £35.8 million.
And Mr Hall, who is currently battling with debts of over £40 million at his Cameron Hall company, made the gains as part of the club's half-year dividend scheme.
He currently owns 69 million shares in the club, but many analysts are predicting he may sever his ties by the end of the year.
Last night the Chronicle revealed Mr Hall had sold 3,000 acres of his exclusive Wynyard Estate for an estimated £10 million and he has already pulled out of Gateshead Football Club.
The club increased operating profit to £7.9 million, but when transfers were taken into account this was reduced to £1.8 million. The figures do not include the £5 million Jermaine Jenas transfer deal.
